Dan Bailey

Dan Bailey ran his family’s collision repair centers in the Kansas City area from 1975 until the family sold them to CARSTAR in 1998. He then joined CARSTAR’s corporate team and became its president and chief operating officer, stepping down in 2011 with plans to own and operate CARSTAR locations. He chaired the Kansas City/Topeka chapter of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists, directing its fundraising for Camp Mak-a-Dream, and was vice chairman of the SCRS national board in 2009 and 2010. He served on the Mitchell and CCC advisory boards and the ASA Collision Division committee, took part in the Collision Industry Conference and was a national SkillsUSA-VICA judge for more than 15 years.
