March Taylor

March Taylor owned Auto Body Hawaii in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, where he worked as a technician alongside his employees. He served as a national director of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists and, with Toby Chess, helped lead the Collision Industry Conference’s technical committee. He wrote for BodyShop Business and ABRN and pressed estimating database providers to correct their data; SCRS cited that work as the catalyst for the Database Enhancement Gateway, which is dedicated to his memory. The March Taylor Memorial Fund, launched in 2007, awards tool grants to SkillsUSA gold medalists, and SCRS presents the March Taylor Kina’ole Award in his name. He died Aug. 26, 2007, in Hawaii, at 59.
