Chris Evans

Chris Evans trained at collision technical schools in Ohio and Pennsylvania in 1982 and worked as a collision technician, becoming a collision center manager in 1986 while taking evening classes at Lakeland College. He joined State Farm in 1988 as a field claim adjuster in Ohio, became a property claim trainer in 1992 and moved to its Bloomington, Ill., headquarters, retiring as a claim consultant in November 2025. He chaired the I-CAR Education Foundation board of trustees in 2008 and 2009, leading its move to independent 501(c)(3) status, and was named chairman emeritus in 2012. He served on the I-CAR board through 2025, including as treasurer and as executive committee vice chair in 2022 and 2023, and co-chaired the CIC Definitions Committee. A SkillsUSA alumnus, he chaired the committee that piloted its national collision damage estimating competition. He was inducted during the 2025 SEMA Show.
