Bob Anderson owned Anderson’s Automotive Service in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, and worked on aftermarket parts quality for years. In 1988, as an Ohio shop operator and state association officer, he appeared with the Automotive Service Association before a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing on repair costs and auto insurance rates. He was among the repair leaders at the first meeting of the Certified Automotive Parts Association’s forum with parts manufacturers, toured factories with Clark Plucinski in 1996 and later became the first collision repairer to chair CAPA’s board of directors.
