Johnny Mock

Johnny Mock owned and ran Johnny Mock’s Auto Body Shop in Turtle Creek, Pa., for about 40 years; opened in 1952 as Johnny Mock’s Auto Beauty Center, the business grew from a 40-by-40-foot building to a 22,000-square-foot shop. An Accredited Automotive Manager, he chaired the Automotive Service Association board of directors in 1999 and 2000, then served a year as past chairman on its executive committee. In 2001 he served on the ASA Collision Division’s Insurance Subcommittee, which worked to improve insurer-repairer relations, and he chaired the collision division of NACE in the 1990s. He retired around 2015, and the Boyd Group acquired the shop in 2018.
