Bob Smith

Bob Smith taught collision repair at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis., for more than 30 years and also taught I-CAR classes. He was an early member of the I-CAR board of directors, played the principal role in turning the Fox Valley technical center into an I-CAR Tech Center and served on the national technical committee for the SkillsUSA Collision Repair Technology competition. I-CAR has presented an annual award in his name, the Robert Author Smith Tech Center Award, since the mid-1990s to recognize outstanding supporters of its training. A memorial golf outing backed by the local I-CAR committee funds scholarships for Fox Valley collision repair students.
