Guy Bargnes

Guy Bargnes spent his career in refinish distribution and manufacturing. He was the third generation of his family to run V.H. Bargnes Co., a four-store paint, body and equipment jobber in Buffalo, N.Y., which he co-owned until 1992. He then joined BASF, holding sales and marketing posts in its automotive refinish business that included director of marketing for North America and director of U.S. sales. In 2010 he joined Painters Supply & Equipment Co., rising to senior vice president of sales and marketing before retiring in 2019. He chaired the Collision Industry Conference in 2017 and 2018, was president of the National Auto Body Council and served with the I-CAR Education Foundation.
