Sheila Loftus was the longtime executive director of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association and for 31 years the editor and publisher of Hammer & Dolly, its monthly trade magazine. She led the association until 2006. In 1996 she founded Crash Network, a weekly fax and email news service for the collision industry. She was a regular presence at national industry meetings, reporting on them for her readers and photographing the people who attended. She died May 11, 2022, at 79.
